Tonight's game was due to kick-off at 8pm BST (3pm ET; 12pm PT). 

Due to difficulties with fans entering the Stade de France, however, kick-off was delayed to 8:36pm BST.

Fans reported significant queues and bottlenecks outside the Stade de France ahead of Saturday night's clash. Several outlets reported fans were pepper-sprayed outside the stadium, with footage suggesting that is the case, but The Athletic has not been able to verify that.

It is understood that fans have been queueing outside the ground for more than two and a half hours. The Athletic has also been told some fans with were unable to get into the ground.

Thiago and Fabinho have returned to Liverpool's starting XI for the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

The Spain international had been struggling with an achilles injury leading up to today's final and was substituted in the first half of his side's final league game of the season against Wolves.
