delegates vote against Ondo Assembly spokesperson, Omole

The spokesperson of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Akogun Olugbenga Omole has lost his bid to return to the Assembly for a second term.

Omole, representing Akoko South West constituency 1, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was massively voted against by delegates during the primary held in theconstituency.

The lawmaker, who had been earlier been endorsed by his party and stakeholders in the constituency, came third in the election.

Omole was defeated by Emmanuel Gbogi, who received 19 votes while David Ajobiewe polled 12 votes.

Omole, who is the who is the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Youths and Sports in the Assembly, had 6 votes.
